- local artist Gauteng - artwork commissions - commission artist in Gauteng - south African artist portfolio - south African sculpture portfolio

In Le Roux's practice, montage artwork is created by digitally layering images from the artist's archives of scanned original photographs, open-source archives and photographs taken by the artist which she has been collecting for over a decade. The technique of selecting, editing, and piecing together fragments of imagery from yesteryear and the current creates contexts which speaks to the conceptual framework within her practice. Le Roux's montage work is often accompanied by overlaying text which leads into the artworks conceptual intent in an attempt to initiate broader conversations. Each series is created in a low closed edition of 20 works available on archival paper, and 10 prints available on archival canvas.

interdisciplinary digitally altered limited editioNS

In Le Roux's practice, interdisciplinary altered artwork is created by digitally layering documented original artworks. By translating her originals into digital work, the artist comments on the cross over of the generation in which she is a part of where the knowledge bases transcended from the physical to the digital. Rich textures are built up within the original works, but the digital media enables the artist to further highlight the conceptual framework within each body of work. Each series is created in a low closed edition of 20 works available on archival paper, and 10 prints available on archival canvas. Unique editions are created in select pieces in which the artist hand works editioned prints.
